This razor is clean, sharp and in shave ready condition.
A gentleman's razor. It is sleek, almost feline. It's got a lovely tip, re-profiled by me to match another similar Humphreys I owned in the past. Sporting its bone scales, this razor is beautifully balanced and proportioned in a way that only the Victorians could make.
Made in the Haddon Works in Sheffield before the 1890s, this blade is made of excellent, hard steel and will give a lifetime of excellent shaves. It is shoulder-less, which adds to the sleek look.
The scales and spacer are the beautiful originals, I have tried to show the colour of the scales in the photographs. The scales are pinned together in a traditional way. Being a natural material, the scales have some staining, which is part of their character. The spacer is made of bone; the razor feels nicely balanced in the hand.
My share of the profits will be donated to a Foodbank - everyone wins.
Please note that the photos were taken after the blade was honed and oiled.
